Welcome to the Highland Park Community Markets!

The Highland Park Community Association (HPCA) is proud to bring you the Highland Park Community Markets, an initiative designed to foster community spirit, support local businesses, and provide a space where neighbors can connect, share ideas, and experience the creativity of our vibrant community.

How It All Started

In 2022, the Highland Park Community Markets were born with the support of Highland Park residents and community grants. The mission was simple: create an inclusive, safe space where barriers could dissolve, isolation would fade, and people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life could come together over a shared meal and enjoy local arts and crafts. Thanks to the visionary efforts of Highland Park residents, this initiative quickly grew from a bold idea into a cornerstone of our neighborhood’s social fabric.

Where We Are Now

The markets have been an overwhelming success, and we are excited to continue to grow and build on the strong foundation laid in the first year. After three vibrant markets, the community markets have become a biannual event that is eagerly anticipated by residents. The markets provide an invaluable platform for vendors, including young entrepreneurs, seniors, local artists, and those creating diverse arts and crafts.

Building Connections and Breaking Barriers

The Highland Park Community Markets are more than just a marketplace – they are a celebration of inclusion, equal opportunity, and economic participation. By providing a space for people of all backgrounds to share their passions and talents, we help reduce socio-economic barriers and support social inclusion. These markets give young kids a chance to explore entrepreneurship, seniors a platform to showcase their crafts, and artists an opportunity to be seen and heard. It’s a win for everyone!

Family-Friendly Fun for All Ages

Our markets are designed to be fun and engaging for the entire family. Kids can dive into activities such as gingerbread house decorating, mural coloring, crafting ornaments, or enjoying a round of corn hole. We also have a delightful selfie photo booth and a concession stand for everyone to enjoy. During our winter market, we were even joined by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elves from Bikers Are Buddies, who added a special touch of magic and joy for all.
